Everyday my kids have to wave good-bye to their Daddy. The ritual begins when he's putting his shoes on. They start clamoring. Hudson, saying, "Uh, Bye-bye, Daddy, Uh, Bye-bye Daddy". then Ella starts in, "Momma, I want to say bye-bye to Daddy". I take them to the door and they wave and wave. They stand and wave and blow kisses as if he's a World Famous Rockstar. My kids LOVE their Daddy.
They don't seem to care about this wet towel he left on the living room floor this morning. Apparently, Rock Stars don't have to hang up their wet towels after they shower.
They love him because he plays fun games with them, snuggles them, and covers them with kisses. Maybe I should remember that I didn't marry him for his housekeeping skills :) He hugs me, listens to me, cares about my safety, makes me laugh, and provides for our family so that I can stay home with our kids. Now, that I think about it, he just might be a Rock Star to me too.
